The Opportunity

\n

\n

As Senior Vice President of Sales, you will work closely with division leadership to develop and execute a sales strategy that drives sustainable, profitable growth.

\n

\n

You will be responsible for identifying the markets, customers, and geographic territories with the greatest potential, prioritizing business development opportunities, and ensuring our sales organization is positioned to deliver results.

\n

\n

We are looking for more than someone who can manage a sales team. We want a hands-on, strategic leader who understands the hospitality industry, recognizes opportunities for growth, and has the experience and drive to turn strategy into results.

What You'll Do

\n

\n
• Drive Sales Strategy & Growth: Partner with division leadership to develop and execute a focused sales strategy, identifying high-potential markets, customer segments, and geographic territories.
\n
• Identify Business Opportunities: Evaluate and prioritize customers, projects, and market opportunities that align with SLH's capabilities and long-term business goals.
\n
• Lead & Develop the Sales Organization: Evaluate territory coverage, recruit and develop independent sales representatives, coach performance, and establish accountability across the sales team.
\n
• Establish Performance Goals: Develop measurable sales objectives, including revenue targets, new business development, pipeline activity, and individual sales performance.
\n
• Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and strengthen relationships with hotel brands, ownership groups, procurement companies, designers, and other key hospitality industry partners.
\n
• Improve Sales Processes: Establish consistent processes for opportunity management, forecasting, pipeline tracking, and performance evaluation.
\n
• Collaborate Across the Business: Work closely with operations and other business leaders to align sales initiatives with organizational capabilities, customer expectations, and profitability goals.
\n
• Stay Ahead of the Market: Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to guide business development and adjust strategies as needed.

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• Significant sales leadership experience within hospitality furniture, contract furniture, or a closely related industry.
\n
• Strong understanding of the hospitality market, including key customer segments, purchasing channels, and competitive dynamics.
\n
• Demonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies that generate measurable business growth.
\n
• Experience leading, recruiting, and developing independent sales representatives and outside sales organizations.
\n
• Proven ability to establish performance expectations, coach sales teams, and drive accountability.
\n
• Strong business and financial judgment, including an understanding of pricing, margins, and profitability.
\n
• Established industry relationships and the ability to develop new strategic partnerships.
\n
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance long-term strategy with hands-on execution.
\n
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Willingness to travel extensively to support customers, business development, and sales team leadership, including periodic strategic visits to our High Point, NC office.
